Mum in trouble for letting two-year-old vape

POLICE are on the hunt for a woman who allegedly gave her two-year-old child a puff on an electronic cigarette and posted a video of it on social media, reported Harian Metro.

Bukit Aman Sexual, Women and Child Investigation Division principal assistant director Asst Comm Siti Kamsiah Hassan said they had yet to receive an official report about the case but would track down the owner of the social media account.

She said this after a 12-second video of the incident went viral.

In the video, the child was given two puffs on an electronic cigarette device. After the second puff, the child seemed to experience breathing difficulties.

Although the video angered viewers, the woman had defended her actions, insisting that it was her right to upload any content on her social media account.

However, she later apologised, claiming that she did not know that her actions would harm her child.

The child’s father also issued an apology on social media, saying that they did not mean to harm their child and that this was done as a joke.

He also thanked viewers for their advice as well as for pointing out their mistakes as parents.

The daily also reported that most women in Kelantan would spend between RM500 and RM1,000 on headscarves and this could go up even more for special occasions like Hari Raya.
