Farah completes vaccination and looking to do well in Egypt

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Having completed her second dose of Covid-19 vaccine, Farah Ann Abdul Hadi (pic) is more confident to compete at the Challenge Cup in Cairo in June.

The 27-year-old Selangor-born gymnast said that she feels more secure to train and a lot more confident to travel.

She is aiming to give a good performance in the Egyptian capital, which will be her last tournament before the Tokyo Olympics in July.

“I only have the Challenge Cup in June available and when I return, I have to prepare for the Olympics. So the timeline is quite right ... I take what I can get.

“I’m so grateful for having the chance to compete because it’s been a long time since we had any tournaments,” said Farah.

Her last competition was in the Philippines SEA Games in November 2019, where she bagged three gold medals – in the all-around, floor exercise and uneven bars. Farah is currently undergoing a stay-in training at the National Sports Council in Bukit Jalil. — Bernama
