Arena creating a buzz

GOLF Arena, the indoor facility situated in the Gardens Mall at Mid Valley City, is an exciting project on the books of MST Golf and one that they view with much expectation and appreciation.

Speaking to Teeup, MST chief executive Ng yap said while it was their first foray into a project of this nature and a huge one at that, they were “excited” and looking forward to establishing it as a definitive landmark on the local golf industry.

“This is a place where golfers and nongolfers can come and enjoy unique entertainment, a wide variety of quality cuisines and lifestyle shopping,” said Ng. “It spans 40,000 square feet and has an adjoining golf super store.”

Operating for a month now and officially opened last week, when IGB Berhad Group CEO Datuk Seri Robert Tan and IGB Real Estate Investment Trust CEO Anthony Patrick Barragry were the guests of honour, Golf Arena has 20 tech bays that are powered by Gchawk launch monitors.

It is here that one can choose to play some of the world’s top golf courses, get some practice in or just have fun with carnivalstyle games with family and friends.

There are also four private suites within the arena and a 20-metre contoured putting surface, featuring a Puttview system that can be used to work on one’s putting skills.

The MST Golf super store carries the latest products from the world’s leading golf and leisure brands. It also has a fully-equipped custom fitting centre and an academy.

“Golf Arena is more than just an indoor golf facility,” added Ng. “It is also a full leisure experience where golfers and non-golfers alike can meet and since we opened in late January, business has picked up well.”
