Damansara seat records highest majority again

The Damansara parliament­ary seat has once again recorded the highest majority nationwide with 124,619 votes in the 15th General Election.

The Damansara seat was won by Pakatan Harapan’s Gobind Singh Deo (pic) who secured 142,875 votes compared to Perikatan Nasional’s Lim Si Ching’s 18,256 votes and Barisan Nasional’s Tan Gim Tuan’s 13,806.

Both Perikatan and Barisan Nasional candidates lost their deposits.

Damansara has a total of 239,103 registered voters as of this year.

In the 2018 General Election, Damansara also recorded the highest majority nationwide with 106,903 votes when it was contested by Pakatan’s Tony Pua.

In GE15, the second seat with a large majority was Klang, won by Pakatan’s V. Ganabatira­u with a 91,801 majority and Amanah’s Mohamad Sabu, who garnered 73,998 majority in Kota Raja.

PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli also secured a huge majority of 48,296 votes in Pandan.
