Pahang BN holds talks with PH and PN
Pahang Barisan Nasional appears to have held talks with Pakatan Harapan and Perikatan Nasional on forming the state government.
Pahang Pakatan secretary Rizal Jamin said state Pakatan chairman Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari held discussions with state Barisan chief Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail on Tuesday.
“The outcome of the discussion is positive in the formation of the Pahang state government between Barisan and Pakatan that will be stable and inclusive in order to ensure the prosperity and sustainable economic development of the state,” said Rizal in a statement yesterday.
The statement was issued on behalf of Amirudin and the eight Pahang Pakatan assemblymen.
The state assembly is still hanging in the balance with none of the three coalitions – Barisan, Pakatan and Perikatan – having the simple majority to form the state government.
Perikatan won 17 state seats, Barisan 16 and Pakatan eight during last Saturday’s election.
Pahang Perikatan, represented by PAS deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, claimed to have also held talks with Wan Rosdy on the formation of the state government.
Yesterday, Tuan Ibrahim, who is the newly-elected Cheka assemblyman, posted on Facebook a picture of himself in a group photo with Wan Rosdy.
