-

PAKATAN Harapan assemblymen in Perak will work to reinstate the annual Rm1mil allocation for Tamil schools, Makkal Osai reported.

State Human Resources, Health, and Indian Community Affairs committee chairman A. Sivanesan made the announcement after attending an event in Ipoh.

Also present were Batu Gajah MP V. Sivakumar and Buntong assemblyman Thulsi Thivani Manogaran.

Sivanesan, who is also Sungkai assemblyman, said a Rm1mil allocation had been set aside for Tamil schools when Pakatan led the Perak government from 2018 to 2020.

“We will work hard to bring back the allocation,” he said, adding that the state government would also focus on issues faced by the Indian community such as land problems.
