Genting Winter Wonderland is back
Visitors to be treated to magical christmas decorations and holiday performances
JAYA: Genting Highlands once again transforms into a Winter Wonderland, where the snow falls a few times a day and lights sparkle at every turn.
This year’s event, which began yesterday, will be more magical with a 40ft Christmas tree in festive gold and red at the centre of Madison Square.
The winter programme will run until New Year’s Day, with a variety of festive performances and activities lined up to entertain guests.
Back by popular demand, the Liberty Lane at Genting Skyworlds Theme Park will be transformed into a wonderland featuring a “White Christmas”, with snowfall occurring every half-hour from 6.30pm to 11pm every day.
On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, the snowfall will go on until midnight.
Madison Square and Central Park will also host special holiday dances such as the “Christmas Dance Show” and “Wonderland Wondertime” at regular intervals.
It wouldn’t be Christmas without Santa, so from Dec 16 onwards, visitors will get to meet and greet Santa Claus, Miss Claus, as well as Genting’s Highland Heroes.
The eight-member Christmas Choir will also perform to put guests in the holiday spirit.
As the countdown begins on Dec 23, the Selangor Symphony Orchestra will gather to serenade and delight visitors with Christmas classics.
In addition to the visual feast, guests can visit the Christmas Market at Madison Square to savour a wide selection of Western, Japanese and Korean cuisines and toast with a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
