Chef Wan makes sure sick mother gets professional help at home
Filial piety is alive. Kosmo! reported that celebrity Chef wan (pic) forks out RM6,000 a month for the services of a trained nurse to ensure his mother receives professional care.
Chef wan, whose full name is Datuk Redzuawan ismail, said his mother noraini abdullah, who turned 90 on Oct 12, requires special care as she is suffering from dementia.
He has hired the services of an experienced nurse who had worked in a nursing home for four years and cared for terminally-ill patients. she charges RM180 a day from 9am to 6pm every day, plus overtime.
“For now, the nurse is around during the day because in the evenings there is me and the housekeeper to take care of my mother,” he posted on instagram.
The culinary icon admitted to being relieved that a nurse is taking care of his mother.
“i am glad that mum is getting professional help to bathe, change diapers and eat her meals.
“The nurse also makes sure my mother takes her medications on schedule, does light exercise and takes her naps,” he wrote.

employee Bohari ahmad, 49, said this was the first time such an incident occurred since the shop opened in the early 1990s.
Bohari said that he and eight other employees were in the office when the roof collapsed.
“at 4pm, i suddenly heard a very loud bang. when i came out, i saw the roof had collapsed,” he said, adding that he was scared and recited prayers.
He also ordered all the other workers to leave the office because it was too close to the collapsed roof.
Bohari said there were about 100 luxury cars at the premises, which cost about RM80,000 to more than RM100,000 each.
“More than 20 cars were hit by the roof that collapsed due to strong winds. Losses are estimated to be in the millions of ringgit. Three buildings that store used cars were also damaged,” he added.
