> U Mobile launches a new prepaid starter pack bundled with value for the buck

- BY JEREMY CHEONG

ACCORDING to studies, there are over 16.5 million active mobile internet users in Malaysia. Malaysians also spend an average of three hours and 39 minutes every day accessing the internet using their smart mobile devices. This shows that access to mobile data is no longer a luxury but a necessity for many Malaysians.

With this in mind, U Mobile Sdn Bhd recently launched the brand-new U Mobile Power Prepaid Pack, which gives consumers a powerful jumpstart to their mobile user experience.

For only RM8.50, this new starter pack lets users enjoy features such as 200MB of highspeed mobile internet, 150 minutes of free calls, RM5 mobile credit, a 10-day validity period, a lowest call rate of 10 sen per minute to all networks and free basic internet with no pay-as-you-use charges.

In addition, users will also get up to 450 minutes of free calls every month by just staying active.

What makes the Power prepaid pack even more attractive is the fact that active users, by topping up just a minimum of RM10 each time, will activate a 1GB high-speed internet that will be given to them free every 30 days.

This 1GB offer is ongoing as long as users stay active and continue to top up their usage.

“This free 1GB high-speed internet every month for life changes the landscape of product offerings in the local market, which we believe will add even greater value to consumers as we cater to their ever-growing demand for data,” said Jasmine Lee, chief marketing officer of U Mobile.

“We at U Mobile are constantly striving to serve our customers better, and to gain their trust through groundbreaking approaches to our products and services.”

Existing U Mobile prepaid users who want to enjoy this plan without getting a new number can switch to this new plan by paying a RM3 switching fee starting from Aug 1.
