FOR Autumn/Winter 2015, Italian luxury fashion label Furla is handing over the creative baton for its patrons to customise their own bags.
The “My Playfurla” project allows customers to personalise one of Furla’s most successful and iconic bags: the Metropolis. It begins with a basic Furla Metropolis in black, white or rose-printed Ares calfskin, in which its snap closures in the back enable the changing of flaps.
With 12 flap designs (sold separately) to choose from, including six solid colours, leopard-print calfskin, shearling, bi-colour leather and suede, as well as mirrored, studded and degradè effects, customers get to transform their Metropolis bags to create different looks. Additionally, they can have their initials imprinted on the keyholder in Mistral leather.
For the men, Furla is introducing the Modular Bag for multi-occasion versatility and understated elegance. The Modular Bag converts from tote to duffle, seamlessly adapting in a fast-paced urban lifestyle and into the laidback outdoor weekends.
The kit, which includes two handles, two duffle sides and two tote sides that are interchangeable, makes it possible to achieve this two-in-one concept. It can be enriched with additional pieces in different colours and materials as well to create personalised designs.
As a whole, Furla Uomo Autumn/Winter 2015 pays homage to practicality in a reinvigorating palette of slate grey, black, ocean blue, fern green, burnt orange, tan and tobacco brown. It comprises day and travel bags such as soft totes, backpacks, messenger bags and cross-body styles, all in differ
ent sizes. Smartphone cases, organisers, computer cases, wallets and belts complete the collection.
The “Customise Your Metropolis” service is available now in all Furla boutiques while the Furla Uomo Autumn/ Winter 2015 collection is arriving in October.
