‘PAS, UMNO CLOSER TO FORMING UNITY GOVT’
GEORGE TOWN: The appointment of former PAS deputy president Nasharudin Mat Isa as chief executive officer of the Global Movement of Moderates Foundation (GMMF) shows Umno and PAS are one step closer to forming a unity government. Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said the appointment has brought the two parties even closer together. “I congratulate Nasharudin on his appointment, “he told a press conference. However, he said the people could view the Nasharudin’s past record on whether he is a moderate. Nasharudin replaced Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah, who resigned after joining PKR on Oct 15.
