Impossible to cover up

KUALA LUMPUR: 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) says there is no cover-up related to the company.

“Absolutely no cover-up in relation to 1MDB,” its president and group executive director Arul Kanda Kandasamy told Bernama TV.

“And if there were attempts to do so, it’s impossible.

“That’s because there are five investigative agencies looking at 1MDB – Bank Negara, auditorgeneral, police, Malaysian AntiCorruption Commission and Public Accounts Committee.

“All these agencies have been given information about the company and what happens in 1MDB. Those investigations are ongoing. We are giving fullest cooperation to the lawful authorities,” he said.

He was speaking in a special programme Bernama TV with Arul Kanda yesterday. – Bernama
