CARSON BESTS TRUMP AMONG REPUBLICANS IN POLL
WASHINGTON: Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson pulled ahead of businessman Donald Trump in a national opinion poll for the first time on Tuesday, as political outsiders maintain the lead in a crowded field seeking the Republican Party’s nomination for 2016 presidential elections. A CBS News/ New York Times poll found Carson with the support of 26% of Republicans, compared to 22% for Trump. Florida Senator Marco Rubio is third with 8%, followed by former Florida governor Jeb Bush and former HP chief executive Carly Fiorina, both at 7%. – dpa
