LPT2 gets the thumbs up

KUALA LUMPUR: The structure and safety aspects of the East Coast Expressway 2 (LPT2) are in good condition and pose no problem to motorists, said Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (Miros) directorgeneral Prof Dr Wong Shaw Voon.

He said this was based on an inspection by Miros, the Malaysian Highway Authority and Public Works Department of the highway last Oct 22 to identify the cause of accidents there.

“There was some silting in some areas with uneven road surface, but will not pose a problem to motorists if they drive at a reasonable speed,” he said when met by Bernama yesterday.
