IHH Healthcare: Nusajaya tertiary hospital to open soon

PETALING JAYA: IHH Healthcare Bhd is expected to start operation of its RM400 million 300-bed tertiary hospital in Nusajaya, Johor, soon, Gleneagles Malaysia COO Datuk Amir Abdullah Firdaus said.

The hospital, Gleneagles Medini Hospital, is the 14th hospital in Malaysia by Parkway Pantai – part of IHH Healthcare – after Gleneagles Kota Kinabalu, which opened in May this year.

“Gleneagles Medini represents our vision to bring cutting-edge medical technology and best-in-class healthcare within reach of a wider population in the region. We will initially open with 30 multi-specialty medical consultants,” he said.

He added that ultimately 138 medical suites will be leased for specialists who wish to set up their own clinics and practise within the hospital premises.

These specialists will offer a comprehensive range of medical services and treatment, although the hospital itself will have centres of excellence for cardiology, orthopaedics, gynaecology, paediatrics, oncology and ophthalmology.

The hospital is equipped and designed to meet Joint Commission International and Malaysian Society for Quality in Health accreditation standards.
