TOMMY HILFIGER has collaborated with developer WeMakeVR to produce virtual reality headsets for customers to watch the Autumn 2015 Hilfiger Collection runway show.
Shoppers at Tommy Hilfiger’s store on Fifth Avenue in New York now have a seat on the front row at the label’s autumn runway show thanks to new Samsung GearVR headsets which deliver a 360° view of the catwalk in 3D. The VR experience also offers shoppers a sneak peek backstage.
In a statement, Tommy Hilfiger CEO Daniel Grieder explained “We are driven by a vision to exceed consumer expectations, inspire them, and offer retail experiences they never thought possible.”
Customers who can’t get to New York won’t have long to wait: the headsets are coming soon to stores in London, Amsterdam, Dusseldorf, Milan, Florence, Zurich, Paris and Moscow. – AFP Relaxnews
