SPDP DENIES IT HAS LEFT BN

-

MIRI: The Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP) has denied rumours that it has quit the Barisan Nasional (BN) ruling coalition. SPDP president Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing said there were malicious rumours being spread that the 13-year-old party has left the BN, especially in constituencies allocated to the party. "I can assure you that SPDP is without any doubt a BN component party, like our counterparts Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) and the Sarawak United People's Party (SUPP)," he said at a SPDP Leaders With The People event in Marudi yesterday. – Bernama
