BANGKOK: Macau customs chief was found dead in a public toilet, reports said on Saturday, with initial investigations indicated that she committed suicide. Lai Man Wa, 56, was appointed by the city’s chief executive in December and was its first female director-general of customs, the South China Morning Post reported. “I feel sorrowful and shocked, as Lai and I had been friends for so many years,” Macau chief executive Fernando Chui Sai-on was quoted as saying. – dpa
