SHH RESOURCES QUERIED OVER SHARE PRICE HIKE

PETALING JAYA: Furniture maker SHH Resources Bhd, which was queried by Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd yesterday, said it was not aware of reasons behind the recent sharp rise in its share price except for news reports in Sunbiz and a business daily. SHH closed 7.62% or 17 sen higher at RM2.40 yesterday with 251,000 shares traded. The counter has also more than doubled in the past two months, with only RM1 on Aug 24. Yesterday, SunBiz reported that SHH is banking on mergers and acquisitions to expand its business while boosting its production capacity to meet increased demand.
