SHAH ALAM: Former Selangor mentri besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim has urged the Selangor Select Committee on Government Agencies, Statutory Bodies and State Subsidiary Companies (JP-Abas) to carry out a preliminary expenditure study on Selangor’s proposed investment arm, Darul Ehsan Investment Group (DEIG).

Khalid (Independent-Port Klang) said before any organisation operates, it is important to look at the initial expenditure or funds related to it.

“I urge JP-Abas to do the research themselves. The study is one of the things that should be looked at before an organisation starts operations, to ensure transparency and for it to be managed well and responsibly.”

He said it is important to determine that properties in the state are handled with the utmost reverence and responsibility.
