Special surprise from KFC
IT was an unforgettable day for 40 young residents of Rumah Bakti Dato’ Harun when celebrity couple Scha Alyahya and Awal Ashaari paid them an exclusive visit, accompanied by KFC Malaysia people and products.
The event, “KFC Delivery & Schawal @ Rumah Bakti”, is part of the fast food restaurant’s corporate social responsibility initiative to contribute back to society.
Prior to the surprise visit, a team from KFC made its way to the home to decorate it with colourful balloons and party trimmings to enliven the afternoon fiesta. Clueless to what was in store, Scha and Awal, along with KFC delivery riders sneaked into the home and brought in buckets of KFC fried chicken and other goodies for the children.
“It was an amazing experience to be able to spend time with these special children. You know they have gone through a lot in life and seeing them happy and smiling really made my day. I’m thankful to KFC Malaysia for including us both in this event,” Scha said. The actress and TV-host was recently appointed the spokesman for KFC & Pizza Hut World Hunger Relief Malaysia.
The surprise party ended on a high note with the sound of laughter in the air and the sight of smiling faces, thrilled to be treated to an afternoon of singing, dancing, a magic show and of course the KFC spread of fried chicken, wedges, whipped potato and premium desserts.
