F&N posts lower Q4 net profit

PETALING JAYA: Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd’s (F&N) net profit for the fourth quarter ended Sept 30, 2015 fell 8.8% to RM56.72 million from RM62.2 million a year ago, impacted by the soft drinks segment’s lower revenue and operating profit.

Revenue, however, grew 4.5% to RM1 billion compared with RM964.52 million in the previous year’s corresponding quarter contributed by units, Dairies Malaysia and Dairies Thailand.

For the full year (FY15), its net profit increased 8% to RM280.07 million from RM259.43 million a year ago stemming from the higher revenue and aided by lower milk-based commodity.

Its revenue jumped 6.3% to RM4.06 billion compared with RM3.82 billion in FY14 mainly due to increase in revenue from both dairy units.
