No Malaysian will be left behind, says Najib

PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak yesterday reiterated the government’s stand that no Malaysian will be left behind as the country moves forward to becoming an advanced nation.

In his latest blog posting in which Najib wished Malaysians a “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year”, he said the government remained committed in upholding the freedom of religion as enshrined in the country’s Constitution.

“We are blessed and we are fortunate to live in a nation with different ethnic groups that live together in peace and harmony.

“Let us celebrate this festive season and welcome the New Year with a brand new resolution and make it our personal mission to assume responsibility in taking Malaysia to the pinnacle of success,” he said.

In saying that the Christmas season brings good tidings, hope, and reconciliation for all Christians, Najib also noted that the nation was rich with diverse cultures and traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation.

“I believe this Christmas too, like many other Malaysian celebrations, will be greeted with enthusiasm.

“This is the time when we come together to share joy and laughter, to reconcile, and strengthen our bonds with friends and family while we enjoy the food we love,” he added. – by Amar Shah Mohsen
