FORMER OLYMPIAN DIES
GEORGE TOWN: Former national athlete Mohd Hassan Osman, who represented Malaysia at the Munich Olympics in 1972 has passed away. The 68-year-old, who suffers from diabetes and a heart condition died after a fall on Wednesday night in a chalet in Cherating, Kuantan. He was part of the national 4x400 quartet at the Olympics. He also helped the team win a bronze medal at the 1970 Asian Games in Bangkok. He was buried in Penang yesterday.
