BANGKOK’S DON MUANG AIRPORT OPENS 2ND TERMINAL

BANGKOK: One of Bangkok’s two international airports opened a second terminal to ease congestion yesterday. The new terminal building will extend Don Muang International Airport’s lead as the world’s largest low-cost carrier airport, according to the Centre for Aviation analysts. Don Muang served 21.5 million passengers in 2014, far exceeding its recommended capacity of 16.5 million per year. The new terminal will increase the capacity by 11.5 million passengers per year, according to the Airport of Thailand.
