THAILAND SIGNS TWO RAIL DEALS WORTH 33.7B BAHT
BANGKOK: Thailand signed two dualtrack railway deals worth 33.66 billion baht (RM4.02 billion) yesterday, Transport Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith said. A consortium led by Thai construction firm CH Karnchang Pcl offered the lowest bid of 23.43 billion baht to build a 187km line linking the cities of Nakorn Ratchasima and Khon Kaen. Sino Thai Engineering and Construction Pcl and Right Tunnelling Co Ltd won the deal to build another rail line from Chachoengsao Province to Saraburi Province, worth 10.22 billion baht.
