Awarded for good design
THE GOOD Design Award is considered to be one of the most prestigious design awards in the world along with the iF and Reddot.
Hosted by the Japan Institute for Design Promotion, a public interest incorporated foundation, the award highlights and celebrates good design out of a variety of unfolding phenomena that aim to enrich lives, industries, and society as a whole.
The latest winner of the award is the new Asus ZenFone 3, a feature-packed smartphone that exudes refined craftsmanship and sophisticated engineering, inspired by the beauty of nature.
The ZenFone 3 is encased with a scratchresistant 2.5D glass, that smoothly curves on the edges, applying the same meticulous glass artistry found on premium watches.
The concentric circle texture underneath the back cover and the spun-cut etchings on multiple keys represent Asus Zen’s iconic design signature. The phone’s rounded metal frame also delivers tactile comfort and solidity. The metal case has a concentric hairline finish with a lens and fingerprint identification sensor located on the back. The front is rimmed with glass panels, and its concentric patterns bring forth an air of subdued luxuriousness clearly indicating the position of the functions that are going to be used. One of its most popular accessories, the Aura Flip cover, uses fluorescent materials to gather light along its edge. When it receives a phone call or a message is displayed, the smartphone also flashes to show the information to its user in a simple, intuitive way. For more, visit the Asus Malaysia website.
