Season’s hotspot that’s happening
WANGSA Maju’s neighbourhood mall Wangsa Walk Mall rings in the Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, to a theme called “Spring of Prosperity”.
Says MSL Properties Sdn Bhd retail mall general manager MK Foong, “Chinese New Year is a time of new beginnings. We start the Year of the Rooster wishing our patrons prosperity, wealth, health and success. During this festive season, we invite shoppers to come and celebrate at Wangsa Walk Mall, as we have prepared a series of exciting events, activities and promotions to usher in the new year mood ‘prosperously’.”
Until Feb 5, drop by the mall and don’t forget to look out for the God of Prosperity and Chicky the mascot who will be giving out festive goodies to shoppers. Until Feb 4, there will be Prosperity Orange Eating competitions carried out from 5pm to 6pm on certain days. This is open to all shoppers and winners stand to win mouthfuls of “prosperity” as well as exciting prizes. More opportunities to win and increase prosperity with the Fireball Challenge held at concourse three, daily until Feb 5, from 1pm to 8pm.
No Chinese New Year is complete without lion dances hence, catch this crowd favourite on Jan 14 at 5pm; Jan 22 and 28 at 6pm; and Feb 1 and 5 at 6pm.
A wide range of captivating performances have been planned to entertain one and all. Staged at the concourse area beginning Jan 22 are Miss Little China Town Contest; CNY Mini Kids Dance Performance; Gege Dance Show Performance; Spring Time Splendour Dance Performance; Beaming Fairy Dance Performance; CNY Happiness & Prosperity Dance; The Four Season Dance Performance; Fairies Wonderland Performance; Colourful Flower Dance & Song Performance; Chinese Mask Changing Show and a special Yamaha Clavinova Piano CNY Performance.
