THE latest retail hub under the Sunway Group – Sunway Velocity Mall, recently launched its Chinese New Year campaign themed “Winds of Prosperity”.

While the new state-of-the-art retail venue offers a great place for residents around the Cheras and Ampang areas, it is also attracting a crowd from beyond, especially with its “Elevate Every Moment” tagline with spaces and places to relax, unwind and have a good time.

Speaking at the Chinese New Year campaign launch recently was Sunway Malls and Theme Parks CEO HC Chan. “Sunway Velocity Mall has come a long way from the soft opening last December 8. Unlike other types of properties, malls are constantly evolving. We expect to become a catalyst in the Cheras area, thus elevating and changing the landscape of the surroundings. This Chinese New Year theme of growth and prosperity is reflected in our decor and expresses what we want for the community as well.”

Visit the mall to view the giant fans of different sizes bearing traditional Chinese motifs welcoming you at the entrance. Representing movement and fluidity, they symbolise the fanning of prosperity and good fortune.

Until Feb 12, children can delight in the interesting workshops carried out at the main atrium. These promise a fun time where kids can explore their creativity through partaking in oriental craft activities.

Adding to the festive aura is the God of Fortune who will be making his rounds at the weekends. Shoppers who greet him will receive ang pow packets that contain redemptions for surprise gifts. Look out for the “Golden Rooster” ticket where you can win SK Jewellery’s 999 Pure Gold Ingot.
