The product has five different plans, which offer various takaful benefits. The product also provides compensation amounting to RM300,000 with monthly premiums from as low as RM64 a month. The compensation is subject to terms and conditions of the product.

Takaful Ikhlas president and CEO Datuk Ab Latiff had this to say about the product: “The Ikhlas Basic Term Takaful is unique as it is our first product which offers an additional benefit – death due to dengue in which an additional 50% protection amount will be paid to the nominee or next of kin of the contributor.

“The protection amount eligible for claim is up to RM225,000 (based on five selected plans) for death due to the epidemic which is spreading in the country.”

Ab Latiff also said that the product provides guaranteed subscription renewal without any re-underwriting or commission charges.
