Some people have expressed interest in commemorat­ing dead loved ones by turning their teeth into jewellery. Majerus however isn’t so keen: “Personally I wouldn't appreciate having my grandparen­ts' teeth extracted after their death and turned into jewellery.

“However, if my grandmothe­r had lost her teeth during her life and I could have made it into a ring, I would definitely wear it." – The Independen­t SWISS designer Serge Ruffieux has allegedly caught the eye of the bosses at Carven.

The French fashion house is rumoured to be interested in hiring the creative, who oversaw womenswear at Dior from October 2015 to July 2016 alongside Lucie Meier, after Raf Simons resigned, WWD reports.

Carven is on the lookout for a new artistic director, following the departure of its design duo Alexis Martial and Adrien Caillaudau­d last October. The brand announced that it was discontinu­ing its menswear line last July. – AFP Relaxnews
