A night for wine connoisseurs

-

RESORTS WORLD GENTING is playing host to a special event for wine afficionados tomorrow night at E18hteen, Crockfords Hotel, in Genting Highland.

The event features wine selections from French winery Château Angélus and its restaurant, Logis de la Cadène.

Recognised worldwide as one of the major Bordeaux wine labels, Château Angélus represents the devotion of a family and its team of professionals who are focused on achieving excellence and highlighting the matchless nature of its terroir.

Guests of the Château Angélus dinner at E18hteen will be treated to spectacular wines paired with an exemplary cuisine from Logis de la Cadène head chef Alexandre Baumard and pastry chef Damien Amilien.

The dinner will begin with Périgord truffles, considered the black diamonds of French truffles, served in Parmesan risotto.

This will be followed by foie gras in ravioli with vegetable pot au feu, reminiscent of a classic French home-style stew.

Next is scallops with cabbage, flowers, greens and oranges, as well as hen pheasant stuffed with foie gras and melanosporum truffles served with vegetables and wine sauce aerated with foie gras.

The meal will end on a sweet note with a cocoa mousse, heart of guanaja, and tonka bean ice cream served as a chocolate tart.
