> Here are some shows to keep you entertained over the Chinese New Year holiday break

Disney XD CNY celebrations DISNEY XD, 8AM: It’s a marathon of Future-Worm’s wacky, futuristic adventures through space, time and the study hall, followed by Mr Bean: The Animated Series, Ultimate Spider-Man, Atomic Puppet, Pokemon, Nerds vs Monsters, Danger Mouse, Kaitou Joker and Pickle and Peanut! The Kid from the Big Apple ASTRO AEC, 3.30PM: This Malaysian-produced film tells the story of 11-year-old Sarah from New York who is forced to stay with her grandfather in Malaysia. There, she learns why her grandfather Gen and mother Sophia have not seen each other since she was born.

Trivisa CELESTIAL MOVIES, 9PM: Produced by Johnnie To, this criminal thriller focuses on three notorious thieves known as the kings of thieves. The three have never met one another but when all three end up in Hong Kong, rumours abound that they are joining forces to pull off something big before Hong Kong’s handover back to China. The Mermaid ASTRO WAH LAI TOI, 8.30PM: Shan, a mermaid, is sent to assassinate playboy business tycoon and developer Liu Xuan, whose projects are threatening the ecosystem of her home. However, she ends up falling in love with him and thwarts attempts to kill him. CNY Special: Weightlifting Fairy OH!K HD, 11.55PM: Bok-ju is a weightlifter whose life revolves around her sport. With little time to herself, she has never thought about romance. Little does she know, love is about to knock her down when she meets national swimmer Joon-hyung. Super Star CNY Special 2017 ASTRO AEC, 9AM: Catch this dazzling festive special with Chang Hsiao Yen and Harlem Yu leading their teams of superstars in a battle of music.

New Happy Dad and Son: The Instant Genius ASTRO XIAO TAI YANG, 3PM: This animated film tells how a family of three runs into trouble as the son grows up, and how they stand their ground and overcome the difficulties.

The Five-Year Engagement DIVA, 7PM: One year after meeting, Tom proposes to girlfriend Violet, but unexpected events keep tripping them up as

they attempt to walk down the aisle together. The Monkey King 2 ASTRO WAH LAI TOI, 8.30PM: The Monkey King must protect a travelling monk from the White Bone Spirit, a demon who seeks immortality. League of Gods CELESTIAL MOVIES, 9PM: King Zhou slowly turns into a tyrant due to the influence of Daji, a vixen spirit disguised as one of his concubines. Miss Universe 2016 STAR WORLD, 8AM: This year’s pageant features young, talented women from all over the globe, all bidding to be crowned Miss Universe 2016. Watched by an estimated one billion television viewers around the world, this makes it one of the highest-rated live events on television. Star Trek: Insurrection FOX ACTION MOVIES HD, 11PM: When the crew of the Enterprise learns of a Federation conspiracy against the inhabitants of a unique planet, Captain Picard begins an open rebellion. The Change-Up DIVA, 4.55PM: Dave is married to a loving wife and father of three, while best friend Mitch is still single and in the prime of his life. One fateful night, Mitch and Dave find they have switched bodies and inadvertently switched lives, giving each other a taste of life on the other side.
