WhatsApp, Google and Facebook top scorers in ‘Women’s Impression Scores’
SINGAPORE: WhatsApp, Google and Facebook achieved the highest Women’s Impression Scores in Malaysia, outscoring Toyota and Apple iPhone, which ranked fourth and fifth respectively.
This is according to YouGov’s BrandIndex, the daily brand perception tracker, released yesterday.
Unlike other Asia Pacific (Apac) countries where brands from fashion retail industry come strong in women’s minds, surprisingly, the top 10 brand list in Malaysia is dominated by internet brands, YouGov said.
The other five brand list has Lazada, Honda, Rexona, Youtube and Dettol.
YouGov announced the top 10 bestperceived brands among women in Malaysia in honouring International Women’s Day, which will be celebrated today worldwide.
YouGov is an international internet-based market research firm, headquartered in the UK, with operations in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
It said the rankings are calculated by measuring Impression Scores on each brand among the female respondents for the 12month period through January 2017.
Impression Scores for the brands are measured by asking, “Do you have a general positive or negative feeling about the brand?” and were filtered for female adults who are 18 or above.
The score can range from 100 to -100 and is compiled by subtracting negative feedback from positive.
A zero score means equal positive and negative feedback.
YouGov BrandIndex interviews thousands of consumers every day, yielding over six million interviews annually.
Respondents are drawn from its online panels of five million consumers across 32 countries and currently cover 250 brands in Malaysia. – Bernama
