Turning ‘likes’ to illumination

-

KENNY Rogers Roasters (KRR) continued its “22 Deliciously Healthy Years” anniversary initiative by “sharing” it with tireless “fellows” at Teach for Malaysia – contributing a total of 50 sets of Kenny’s Quarter Lite Meal. The meals were distributed at Teach For Malaysia’s “Dragons’ Den” event, where fellows pitch ideas and come up with solutions to address issues faced in schools they teach at.

“At Teach for Malaysia, we believe all students should be #EmpoweredTo realise their potential, regardless their background,” said Teach For Malaysia head of south region, Chan Soon Seng.

“Our Fellows teach in high-need schools across Malaysia, to be part of the solution to the challenges faced by our students today. We are excited to have public and private sector partners and supporters like Kenny Rogers Roasters working with us towards a common goal – to invest in our collective future and create real and lasting transformation in our schools and communities,” added Chan.

To celebrate KRR’s “22 Deliciously Healthy Years” anniversary, the company has pledged to “offset” every 22 like on its Facebook page with a meal. More than 11,300 likes were garnered since, which translated into a fruitful outcome of over 500 meals.

Other charitable organisations that have benefited from this rare anniversary initiative include Epic, Malaysian Nature Society and Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), Mercy Malaysia, Give.my and Hospis.
