RM2.5 million goldsmith heist
KUALA LUMPUR: Four men robbed a jewellery store at Jalan Kuchai Lama yesterday and made off with approximately RM2.5 million worth of jewellery in a heist that lasted under a minute.
Kuala Lumpur CID chief SAC Rusdi Mohd Isa said police were alerted to the incident at about 11.35am at the NSK Supermarket.
Rusdi said two of the four men were believed to be armed with guns, while all wore helmets and fluorescent vests.
A worker on duty at the time said two of the four men approached the glass display cases and smashed them with hammers and grabbed the jewellery.
“They made their escape with the loot after about a minute,” said Rusdi.
The case is being investigated for armed robbery.
