… with Abramovich in for the Kyl

-

CHELSEA owner Roman Abramovich could use funds gained from Eden Hazard’s potential move to Barcelona on Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe, according to reports in Spain. Chelsea star Hazard is being linked with a move to Barcelona to fill the void left by Neymar’s move to Paris Saint-Germain. Reports in Spain have speculated that Hazard could move to the Nou Camp, with the player emerging as a possible target when Neymar completes his transfer out. Meanwhile, over at Monaco, Kylian Mbappe’s future remains uncertain.

European heavyweights such as Real Madrid, Manchester City and PSG have all been linked with summer swoops after the teenager bagged 26 goals for Leonardo Jardim’s side last term.

And Spanish outlet Don Balon claim that, should Hazard leave, the Blues may join the race for Mbappe.

It is said Abramovich is a fan of the 18-year-old, and he could be tempted to join Real and City in the race for his signature.

However, fresh claims suggest Monaco are now demanding a huge £178million to part with their star asset.

Speaking back in June, Blues legend Tony Cascarino named Mbappe as the player he would most like his former club to sign this summer.

“I’d go straight in for Kylian Mbappe at Monaco,” he said.

“You might end up spending £50m (RM283.49m) more, but you have potentially the best player in world football.

“Yes, it would cost in excess of £100m (RM566.97m), but Chelsea are one of the few clubs who could do that.

“The only thing I’d wonder about is that he’s a teenager, but he’s the most dangerous striker there is.” – Express Newspapers
