LOS ANGELES: Electric car maker Tesla on Wednesday said it had more than doubled its revenue in the second quarter, exceeding expectations, and confirmed that it was on track to hit production targets for its new Model 3. Revenue climbed to US$2.79 billion (RM11.9 billion) from US$1.27 billion compared with the second quarter of 2016, the US carmaker said, though it also reported a net loss of US$336 million, up from a loss of US$293 million a year ago. – dpa
