Saying goodbye to searing heartburn
MADAM YONG, 46, initially ignored the periodic heartburn she has been experiencing. However, the mild symptoms began to become more frequent and intense over the years.
Like many other heartburn sufferers, Yong sought medication from the pharmacy, such as liquid antacids.
Then one day, Yong felt as though something was stuck in her throat. An endoscopy revealed she had chronic heartburn, or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
There are two valves in the oesophagus – one at the throat and the other at the bottom, which is the opening to the stomach. The lower valve is meant to close after it allows food into the stomach.
For GERD sufferers, however, this lower valve becomes weakened or damaged, and that’s when acid seeps back up into the oesophagus (acid reflux).
The acid in our stomach has a pH close to battery acid. When this acid makes contact with the oesophagus and sometimes rises up into the mouth, it then causes heartburn.
Another symptom of acid reflux is difficulty in swallowing. Some patients may even experience a chronic cough or breathlessness, triggered by the acid reflux.
Patients with heartburn or GERD can now consider an alternative way of managing their condition.
The conifer green needle complex known as Bioeffective A is the result of an extensive botanical research programme which has spanned more than 80 years.
Clinical studies conducted found that patients treated with Bioeffective A experienced a 92% improvement in GERD symptoms, including gastritis, gas and bowel disorders.
Most patients also experienced a return of normal stomach functionality besides a reduction in pre-cancerous lesions.
The actions of Bioeffective A help strengthen damaged or weakened oesophageal valves, impart anti-inflammatory benefits to the stomach lining as well as support the normalisation of digestive juices in the stomach.
“I did an internet search,” said Yong. “That was when I learned about Bioeffective A.”
Besides taking smaller meals, she started on Bioeffective A, understanding that her tummy sphincters could do with some healing help.
Yong noticed she was better able to tolerate foods without those familiar regurgitation symptoms happening so frequently.
She added: “A year ago, I felt sick and I was constantly tired because reflux was affecting my sleep. Today, I feel healthy and well.”
