Don’t let anger kill the peace

-

I WAS in a gym a few years ago where a man and a woman were shouting at each other. They were both red in the face, and the man had a dumbbell in his hand.

I immediately got down from my cycle and gently led the woman away. In this case, even a murder could have taken place.

When a person is angry, much of his energy is wasted. Psychosomatic ailments and heart diseases are also related to an angry frame of mind.

Anger even has the power to break the friendship of close friends. It turns friends into critics.

It is, therefore, essential for us to control and even eliminate anger because it is harmful physically, mentally and spiritually.

Elimination of anger brings peace. If we control our anger, half of our spiritual endeavours are fulfilled, because control of anger means control over the mind.

If someone says something nasty, no problem. Just see the best in him. Ask yourself if you are sure they started it and are determined that they should finish it.

These are signs that you are unwilling to resolve the conflict peacefully. Unless you are willing to reach a resolution, the conflict will remain.

In conflict, there is always a solution, if you really want to find one. Be the one who takes the first step towards peace.
