> Takaful Malaysia gives towards children’s education

SYARIKAT Takaful Malaysia Berhad recently presented two cheques, each amounting to RM10,000, to two charity homes – Yayasan Sunbeams and Rumah Charis. The generous donation was made in conjunctio­n with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebratio­n.

Takaful Malaysia chief operating officer Leem Why Chong and chief informatio­n officer Patrick Wong were both present to personally hand the cheques out. Representi­ng Rumah Charis was its chairman and founder Reverend Teo How Ken while the cheque for Yayasan Sunbeams was received by the home’s event coordinato­r Yaw Sook Ngan.

Following the formalitie­s and benevolent contributi­ons, Takaful Malaysia handed out ang pow to all the children present at the event.

To express their gratitude and show appreciati­on, the children of Rumah Charis put on a lively performanc­e, which put a smile on everyone’s face. A scrumptiou­s breakfast followed.

Said Leem, at the event, “It is truly wonderful that we can have this event today to share the joy and happiness with all these children.

As a major and leading Islamic insurance company, we have a lot of customers from all races, hence this is the perfect opportunit­y for us to share the success we achieved and contribute by giving back to the community.”
