WATSONS ushered in the Chinese New Year with a #HAPPY BEAUTIFULYEAR movie treat for its elite members. Celebrities, bloggers and media were not left out – among the privileged to watch the screening of Think Big Big, a week before the film’s cinema release.

The movie, produced by Astro Shaw and directed by Chiu Keng Guan (of The Journey and Olabola fame) is about a confident plussized girl called Moon, who dreams of becoming an astronaut.

Not wanting to “let the cat out of the bag”, theSun holds back details of the storyline but gives reader’s a “peek” via Watsons Malaysia country head Caryn Loh’s view.

“The main message of the movie resonates with Watsons Malaysia’s belief of embracing our inner beauty and remembering our selfworth and confidence in a society today, which promotes selfvalidation through social media.

“It is also such an important time to remind people, especially young impressionable females, that they should love and accept themselves for who they are, and that they are beautiful in their own special way,” said Loh.

On behalf of Watsons, Loh shared her excitement in rewarding Watsons customers with lots of “prosperous” goodies and “moneycan’t-buy” experiences to usher in the Chinese New Year.

“Tonight, we have our Watsons Elite members, who have been supporting us in a big way in 2017, and we are rewarding them with an example of a ‘money-can’t-buy’ experience, where they will be one of the first to preview Think Big Big,” said Loh.

Similar special preview screenings were also held for Watsons Elite members in Kuching, Penang, Johor Baru and Ipoh. Watson customers have the opportunity to indulge in its “Big Big Sale” extravaganza and enjoy discounts of up to 50% storewide until Feb 28.
