BALE WARNS ZIDANE
GARETH BALE could leave Real Madrid if he does not start next month’s Champions League clash against Paris SaintGermain, it has been claimed. The Wales international is miffed that he was limited to a second-half substitute appearance in the first leg of their last16 tie last week, according to Don Balon. And the Spanish publication claim that Bale has warned head coach Zinedine Zidane that he will consider his future if he is named on the bench for the reverse fixture at Parc des Princes on March 6. Bale has scored 76 goals in 172 appearances for Real Madrid since joining from Tottenham for a then-world record £86million fee in 2013. But he has endured a number of injury problems in recent seasons and struggled to win over the club’s notoriously difficult-to-please fan base. Despite having threeand-a-half years left to run on h is contract, Real Madrid plan to sell Bale at the end of the
campaign as part of a transfer overhaul. Express Sport understands Bernabeu bigwigs are preparing to offer the 28year-old forward plus £100m to Chelsea for Eden Hazard.
