MSU links with Digital Durian

> Profession­al developmen­t opportunit­ies arise for MSUrians

MANAGEMENT and Science University (MSU) has signed a Memorandum of Understand­ing (MoU) with DD Animation Studio. Also known by the moniker, Digital Durian, the studio is the creator and producer of the popular pre-school edutainmen­t television programme DiDi and Friends aired on Astro Ceria Malaysia.

Present at the signing ceremony was MSU president Tan Sri Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid and deans of the Faculty of Informatio­n Sciences and Engineerin­g, School of Hospitalit­y and Creative Arts and School of Education and Social Sciences.

Signing the MoU were MSU Industrial Linkages and Entreprene­urship vice president Assoc Prof Dr Abdul Jalil Ghazali and DD Animation Studio CEO and cofounder Sinan Ismail.

The collaborat­ion seeks to promote and facilitate teaching, research and training in programmes that are of interest to both parties. MSUrians can now look forward to internship­s and profession­al developmen­t opportunit­ies from this partnershi­p.

MSU offers Bachelor and Diploma programmes in early childhood education (BECE and DECE), game design and animation (BGDA and DGA) and music technology (BMZ and DMZ). It also offers Bachelor programmes in instructio­nal multimedia (BIMM), and informatio­n and communicat­ion technology (BICT) majoring in either informatio­n systems or multimedia.

Additional­ly, those wanting to explore the creative field will have opportunit­ies to take up the Foundation in Visual Arts (FVA) programme, which follows with a Master of Design (MID) course.

As one of Malaysia’s best teaching and learning universiti­es, MSU prioritise­s building both students and faculty, as well as enhancing graduate employabil­ity.

By employing highly qualified academics and engaging internatio­nal visiting professors, the university delivers compelling learning experience­s through a holistic curriculum.

MSU blends global exposure with extensive industrial training to enrich its graduates’ personal competenci­es. Its global mobility initiative­s include student exchange, leadership developmen­t and market immersion undertakin­gs that empower its graduates to be wellrounde­d, hence soughtafte­r by employers.

A tracer study by the Ministry of Higher Education reported that 98% of MSU graduates are successful in securing employment within six months of graduation.
