MINETECH RESOURCES BAGS SOLAR PLANT PROJECT

PETALING JAYA: Minetech Resources Bhd’s (MRB) 70%-owned subsidiary Coral Power Sdn Bhd yesterday accepted the letter of award from the Energy Commission to develop a large scale solar photovoltaic plant of 9.99MWa.c. at Manjung, Perak at the offer price of 37.50 sen/kWh for a period of 21 years. In a stock exchange filing, MRB said the commercial operation date will not be later than Aug 31, 2020 and is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the group after 2020.
