TAKAFUL MALAYSIA POSTS 23% HIKE IN Q1 EARNINGS

PETALING JAYA: Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Bhd’s net profit jumped 23% to RM69.98 million in the first quarter ended March 31, 2018 from RM56.75 million in the previous corresponding quarter. The group told the stock exchange that the improvement in profit was mainly attributable to higher net Wakalah fee income arising from its robust business growth in the General Takaful business.
