MAKE-UP can be quite intimidating to some or most people if you have no idea how it works or where to start. Lumi is here to remind you that it doesn’t have to be complicated. Here’s how:

1. Familiar with the phrase “less is more”? All you need is a good concealer or foundation that suits your skin tone. Dab a small amount on troubled areas like the dark under eye circles and redness starting from the centre of the face while blending it outwards. Allow your skin to show through and never try to conceal active acnes.

2. If eyes are windows to the soul, eyebrows are like the collector of souls. So make sure to fill in those gaps between the hairs and keep them well-groomed and in shape.

3. If eyeshadow scares you a lot, perhaps start with a single colour, preferably something with a natural earth tone. Skip eyeshadow altogether if you wish, but perk up those lashes with mascara to look awake.

4. Add some rosiness onto your face with a dash of pink or red. To make it easier, pick up a product that works as both blush and lipstick.

Finish off your look with a make-up setting spray to have it last longer. Voila!

influencer when social media followers can be easily bought to increase the perceived influence?

She questions the legitimacy of some Instagrammers.

“To me, you don’t need numbers and material goods to get you recognised as a person, and neither will they get you recognised on the street,” Lumi said.

Truth is, not all influencers are created equal. Some brands invest in mega-influencers to reach the widest audience possible while some prefer working with a wider range of influencers, often prioritising engagement quality over scale.

As for Lumi, she prefers to stay true to herself.
