SULTAN NAZRIN OPENS TELEGRAPH MUSEUM

TAIPING: The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, yesterday officially opened the Telegraph Museum, the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. The opening marks a historic moment for the Telekom Malaysia Foundation after the opening of the Telekom Museum, which is also known as the National Telecommun­ications Museum, in Kuala Lumpur in 1994. The Telegraph Museum building, that was built in 1883, once housed the first Post and Telegraph Office in the country. – Bernama
