The Foreign Ministry has also activated an operations centre to locate other Malaysian tourists who may be stranded on the island. It said Malaysians in Lombok who require consular assistance can contact the embassy at +622 1522 4947 or +62813 8081 3036 (WhatsApp).

The embassy has also contacted Malaysian students currently residing in areas near Bali to confirm their safety.
