Best in work culture

-

CLINCHING not one but two top honours, Maybank’s back-to-back wins are a testament to the bank’s continuous efforts in creating a workplace that is both collaborative and inclusive for its employees by being named Graduan’s Most Preferred Employer and Randstad’s Most Attractive Employer for Banking and Financial Services.

Maybank Group chief human capital officer Nora Manaf ( pix) attributed the wins to the Maybank Group’s 43,000 strong bank employees, who have consistently played an active role in creating an exemplary work culture that has cemented the bank’s position as the best place to build a career in.

“We are thrilled to receive yet another set of industry awards to reaffirm our leadership in the area of talent management.

“Graduan and Randstad are reputable industry observers which are constantly listening and sharing the voices of the public and, in this case, their views of what makes a good employer,” said Nora.

Where Graduan is Malaysia’s leading publication that caters to tertiary level students and graduates by providing an overview of the career landscape in Malaysia, the Netherlands-based Ranstad on the other hand is a global leader in the human resources industry.

Graduan named Maybank the Most Preferred Employer at their Aspire Career and Postgraduate Fair over 50 other organisations across various industries, while Randstad’s honours came from its Employer Brand Research that studied the opinions and votes from more than 3,000 respondents across Malaysia.

“Our ‘always on’ approach and commitment in putting our employees first have been key in making us an employer of choice, especially with the new generation of the workforce which aspires to be part of the Maybank family,” she continued.

The key contributors to the double major wins include the Maybank Group’s on-going “FutureReady” digital up-skilling programme, and “GO Ahead” Employer Value Proposition (EVP) which encourages employees to break through barriers and strive for greater success.

“Our leadership team is driven to continuously shape our employees to be the finest in the industry,” concluded Nora.
